Next time you head to Orlando Florida check out who is your guide, ticket taker, or attraction host. You never know if they might be native-born or an immigrant working here on one of many US Visas handed out by USCIS. It really shouldn’t matter as long as you get the service you expect, should it? One thing you need to keep in mind is that the workers at these places are very aware that they cannot have an “off” day – indeed in this industry there is no room for down time, because they are in the eye of the public all the time.

To make your vacation a reality each resort and extended theme park employees a vast range of people. This includes advertisement staff, food service staff, maintenance and engineering staff, Health-care professionals, a wide range of guest service personal, shop staff, and more. Each employee gains much benefit from their work, as most of these industry leaders treat their staff well, no matter what position they fill. This means it is easier for them to greet you with a smile, because they are being paid well and have excellent benefits.

What exactly does your doorman make? That is hard to say exactly. He brings in a fair wage, as a base, and likely has a good benefit package to boot. This would vary by resort, of course, but those working at Universal Studios gain medical coverage options like HMO or a POS plan, dental and vision insurance, coverage for their partner regardless of gender, extended disability coverage, life, travel, and other insurance options, paid vacation and time off, sick leave, and more. Many benefits apply to part time and reoccurring seasonal staff also.

It’s easy to see why workers are drawn to such places, and it is also easy to see why people pay what they do to visit these attractions. For many workers, the magic of working in a theme park or an associated hospitality setting is enough to make the job highly desired. No matter what the task, there’s something glamorous about working at one of these places. Top notch maid and house keeping staff can earn large tips which improve and already attractive job.

Next time you take an Orlando Vacation to one of the top resorts in the area, consider the workers who help make your vacation the best it can be. They might be native-born. They might be an immigrant working there with one of many US Visas gained through USCIS. Either way, they are there to help make your vacation better. A little friendly greeting, a smile, even a simple thank you, can go a very long way to helping them stay on the bright side under the public spotlight. While they get great benefits and perks for working there, it is the human interaction that can make or break their day and yours. Enjoy your Orlando Resort Vacation to the fullest by remembering common decency when dealing with the help staff and you will have many good memories to take home with you.

Going to Orlando on vacation presents one with a lot of choices. Even taking the kids or pets along does not limit those choices much. If you are not already sure about that here are some of the most popular Orlando resorts that cater to the family over the couple. This is not to say that they don’t have great options for mom and dad too, but that if mom and dad take the kids, they can be assured that in these places the kids are never bored.

Walt Disney’s vision as showcased in Walt Disney World offers many options not only to buy crates of souvenirs that might warrant the use of an edge protector or two getting them home, if not outright custom packaging solutions that use jumbo edge protectors. There are 22 themed resorts around the mega park that offer a huge range of budget value. While you might find cheaper accommodations in the area you miss out on certain perks by staying outside Disney’s resort system that include free bus and shuttle transportation and extra hours inside the main attractions.

Universal Orlando is another very popular theme park attraction. It offers 3 different resorts, of which Portfino Bay Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel are top choices for those with families. Both resorts offer watertaxi shuttle service, front of the line passes to rides, and access to a freerform pool accented with a sandy beach and supervised by expert life guards. Portofino Bay serves those with older children with a a evening kids club while Hard Rock offers the younger set “Camp Li’L Rock” that is sure to keep them occupied.

Other great resorts are not part of theme parks. This does not mean you will need to consider fewer custom packaging solutions for all the goodies you ship home however. Make sure in any case you have plenty of jumbo edge protectors because the humble edge protector can ensure those packages get home in one piece. This applies to things you might buy around Disney or Universal true enough but it also includes items from places like Nickelodeon Suites which is connected to two waterplay complexes.

Another option might be the jointly run 500 acres of J.W. Marriott Orlando Lakes and the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. More traditional resort and less theme park, these 500 acres include golf, biking, fly fishing, kayaking, a spa, deluxe pools and the Ritz Kids Club. If 500 acres is too small consider 1500 acres of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Not only is there a luxury resort here but there are nature trails for hiking and horseback riding, golf, plenty of lakeside water sports and a half acre pool with water slides. Parents wanting to get away from the kids can take advantage of Camp Hyatt kids’ program. Or if 500 acres seems too excessive try the 63 acre Gaylord Palms resort instead. Near the Walt Disney World attractions, this unique property has a 4.5 acre atrium that is world famous.

Orlando Florida is the destination of choice for visitors from all over the world. This bustling city has much for vacation fun per square mile than many cities larger than Orlando. The warm tropical climate has always made Florida a hot spot for winter vacations, but the addition of three major theme parks has elevated Orlando to the number three spot in Most Visited Cities in America list.

The city of Orlando has a multi-cultural feel and is also home to one of the busiest immigration courts in the U.S. The courthouse has thousands of visitors a day. Immigration application forms and the US citizenship exam as well as an individual’s naturalization application are filed for in nearby field office or it would be much busier.

However most visitors to Orlando are concerned with the exciting things to do that are present only in this resort city. While almost every visitor to Orlando will visit Disney World where young and old alike are sure to be charmed. Alternatively, they may take a trip to Universal World and thrill to the movie and TV themes brought to a completely new level of excitement in a theme park. Sea World is a fascinating and delightful trip full of the wonders hidden just below the surface of our ocean. Do not stop now though because there are even more interesting and unusual things to see and do and for the adventurous even more to discover during an Orlando vacation.

Titanic – The Experience is a guided tour of a 20,000 sq. fit with actors in period costumes who narrate their stories while showing the visitors through an interesting and incredibly realistic museum. This experience can bring that period and the memorable final voyage to life for anyone in an interactive museum setting. Do not forget to visit the famous Iceberg room while there it is a cool experience.

Ripley’s is an attraction present in many resort cities but always on the less visited but most interesting list. The Ripley museums are repositories for every odd, unusual or simply unbelievable sight or fact known. Believe it or not, is a byword in the English language and some of these displays simply should not be missed and certainly will be hard to believe.

Discovery Cove might be an excellent warm up for Sea World or for a visit afterwards. If you thought watching the dolphins was exciting, then swimming with them might be even more exciting in the warm waters of Discovery Cove. Manta rays within touching distance and a snorkeling experience with unusual fish are only part of this interactive theme park featuring exotic sea creatures you can actually get near or even touch.

While there is simply no way to properly go into every entertainment possibility in Orlando there is always more to do than meets the eye and though the famous theme parks are must visit spots for most, those with a sense of curiosity and some left over energy will find that Orlando is a city with even more possibilities.

If you are taking a family vacation in Orlando throughout the holidays you might consider buying passes on the I-Ride Trolleys. This is a fun and excellent way to see the city and get around town.

The I-Ride trolleys are a lot of fun for people to ride. They travel throughout the International Drive Resort area. If you are staying on this side of Orlando it is one of the best ways to travel throughout the holiday season. Renting a car in Orlando during the holiday is very hectic. You will be stuck in the hustle and bustle of the locals who are out shopping for the holidays and you will also be in a million tourists who love the city during the Christmas season too. When you take the trolley you can sit back and enjoy the lights of the city and the lighted palm trees and not have to worry about knowing where you are going or getting lost.

The trolleys will get you around I-Drive on the I-Ride. It makes life easy during the stressful holiday season. When you use this convenient method of transportation you can sit back and enjoy the miles of fun. The trolley will pass by 6 theme parks, over 200 restaurants, almost 500 shops, and over 30,000 hotel rooms. As you sit back and enjoy the prelit Christmas trees and the lit up artificial Christmas trees you won’t have to worry about finding parking or getting in an accident with your rental car. This is the best way to travel throughout Orlando with your family.

You can take the I-Ride trolleys buy purchasing a 3-day pass which gives you unlimited rides. This way you and the members in your family can leave in the morning and travel back to the hotel room or around Orlando as much as you like throughout the days and not have to pay additional money.

Many people who travel to Orlando often take a taxi for all of their travel needs. They might find the rental cars are all taken and be forced to pay cab fare. This can get very expensive and it often limits tourists to specific locations throughout the city so they don’t have to pay as much money on the vacation. The I-Ride trolley passes are available to pick up at many of the theme parks and can be purchased for three day passes at a time. If you plan on staying longer you can buy two 3-day passes. The trolley runs every day of the week at convenient hours.

If you are traveling to Orlando for the Christmas season you might consider the I-Ride trolleys as your form of transportation. This will eliminate the stress of trying to get around with the hectic traffic and finding a parking spot or paying the highest rates for parking you have ever seen. You can purchase a pass for three days at a time and sit back and relax as the trolley will take you around the city past hundreds of destinations you can stop at.

If you are looking for something to do when you take your family vacation in Orlando you should consider visiting one of the many museums.

I have friends who arrived to this country after growing up overseas. While she is pursuing citizenship, trying to learn how to become a US citizen, and working at her own Internet marketing consultant business, she had a lot of questions. One of those questions was “what exactly is American?” She wants to experience American foods, American clothes, and American hobbies as she learns more about the country she has chosen.

As I try to explain to my friend the ins and outs of her adopted country, I realize how many things come from overseas. Common American foods — such as pizza, lasagna, and other favorites — are actually imports. At least there’s always apple pie.

Luckily, there was one experience than I could easily claim as All-American — a trip to Florida. We traveled together to Orlando recently and stayed at Orlando vacation resort. My friend was captivated. The idea of a resort really appealled to her, and she was pleased with her all-American holiday. As for myself, I was pleased that I’d taken her to a resort, and not a hotel. At our resort, we were able to enjoy:

Unprecedented service. Orlando resorts pride themselves on offering tourists an exceptional experience, and our own resort was certainly no different. We were able to order room service 24 hours a day, there was a concierge service, and everything we needed, the front desk was able to help us with. From finding tickets to finding places to go, it was no problem. And service was always prompt and friendly. There’s definitely a difference when you stay somewhere where hospitality is a part of the job description.

A budget friendly vacation. Because my friend was just starting up her business, we didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a vacation but we still needed to get away and my friend still wanted to see as much of Florida as possible. Luckily, resorts offer all-inclusive packages, so we didn’t have to worry about blowing our budget on incidentals such as breakfasts, hotel rooms, and other amenities. We knew exactly how much our vacation would cost so we didn’t have to worry about our budget, and we ended up paying less than we would have paid if we had paid for accommodations, tickets, and meals separately.

Flexibility. Even though everything was included, we were free to head out and dine anywhere we wanted. It was easy for us to skip out on dinner sometimes and head out on the town. Plus, with all the money we saved on a vacation package, we were easily able to afford it.

Location. There are truly no better resort locations than Orlando. We were within easy driving distance of Disney World — easily the All-American vacation spot that my friend loved best — and we were also close to concert venues, sparkling beaches, and nightclubs. It was easy to have a blast, and we didn’t need an expensive rental car for many attractions.

If shopping is on your Orlando MUST DO list, then it would be advisable to look at each mall’s list of stores in advance and plan which ones you’d like to visit. You can always learn more about Orlando area malls, shopping centers and generally about all aspect of your Orlando and Florida vacation on the internet. On weekdays, malls are usually less crowded. If you decide to go shopping for the weekend, arrive early or shop late in the day to avoid lines at the dressing room or check out. Always identify a meeting place in case a family member gets separated or you prefer to shop individually.

During Your Visit - Dining

During the peak season it is always advisable to call ahead for reservations. Some restaurants accept reservations or even a call ahead seating. When calling for reservations you could also indicate some other things, for instance if you need a high chair - so it will be set when you arrive. To avoid noisy, grumpy kids who cannot wait for a meal to be served, bring a light snack to enjoy if there is a wait for your table.

Orlando does not need any introduction. It is famous as a family destination for theme parks, and its fame spreads wide and far and draws visitors from every corner of the world. But this playground that is larger than your imagination has more to offer than what lies behind turnstile gates. Visitors of all ages can find it all in Orlando: shopping on scale with its other attractions as well as museums, performance arts, green oases and outlying towns and neighbourhoods with their own distinct personality. You can stay in resorts that are within a mile or two away from the main attractions, Westgate Resorts are good example.

Walt Disney World created the town of Lake Buena Vista, where its fantasy kingdom constantly grows. This wonderful world started with the Magic Kingdom and went on expanding to include futuristic Epcot, entertainment world’s Disney-MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom. Add to the equation a couple of water parks, some miniature golf, a high-tech video arcade, golf and an enormous sports complex with a Richard Petty race car driving experience, and you have just about every entertainment base covered. Downtown Disney complexes can give you the ultimate experience in shopping, nightlife and dining, using the same special effects and gimmicks as the parks. Resorts have been closely following the growth and many have themes ranging from Caribbean to western lodge, gravitating around sports, music, etc.

Top class entertainment has taken thousand by the storm, all those with a love for fun, faux, goofy and imagination. Disney keeps on creating more and more theme parks big and small and contributed to the old cattle and citrus town a show-biz, grand-scale sense of proportion. Universal Orlando Resort has its two theme parks and has even furthered the reputation for state-of-the-art showmanship and thrills. It takes movie entertainment to the next level - from the big screen to first-hand experience in a way that inspires tears and screams. On top of that you’ll find a recreated downtown club and dining scene, and a medley of theme resorts, grew up to accommodate guests and expand the appeal of the parks to adult playtime.

Then, there is SeaWorld Orlando brings a marine attraction element to deal, but with its unique sense of drama and adventure. In addition to shows and exhibits including Shamu, the killer whale, dolphins, otters, seals, penguins, sharks and other denizens of the deep, SeaWorld thrills visitors with high adrenaline rides and simulations.

Plan Your Trip Safely
When planning your trip, the first step is to choose a reliable Orlando vacation store. Once you have that sorted out, you can consider next steps.During Your Visit - Airport

Double check that all adults in your party have their driver’s licenses and passports in a place that’s both safe and easily accessible. You will need to show your identification more than once before boarding the plane. Practical thing is that many airlines now offer user-friendly electronic kiosks that allow you to check-in for your flight, check your bags, and print out a boarding pass using your driver’s license or the credit card used to book the flight.

Place all your airplane, hotel and rental car reservation info/documents in an envelope or binder that you keep with you in a carry-on bag. For extra safety, always keep a copy of this information in your checked bag as well. Do not lock your checked bags since during the random, by-hand searches of passenger luggage at the airport, they may break your lock if necessary.

Come earlier to the airport to have enough time to check in and go through security procedure. It is usually enough for you to arrive one-half hours early for domestic and two hours early for international flights.

Before approaching the metal detector gate, take off your coat, belt and the wristwatch. Wear slip-on shoes that you easily remove in case it is required for security check-up.
For long flights it is always a good idea to bring bottled water and a light meal on the plane with. In an effort to reduce fares, many airlines no longer serve meals in their fare-reduction effort, or they may charge you additionally if you ask for a snack. On departure, plan in advance the extra time you’ll need to return your rental car.

During Your Visit - Theme Parks

Once you have comfortably checked-in at one of the luxurious Orlando vacation resorts, you should try to arrive at the theme parks early for an afternoon break at your hotel. If you decide to have an early dinner you will be able to enjoy the rides and night shows when everyone else is leaving the parks or eating dinner.

There is security check-up the the entrance of each park, so use the same good common sense with packing a bag for the theme parks as you would when traveling on an airplane.
Agree with your family what will be your meeting place in case you get separated.

For most efficient park navigation you need to go directly to the back of the park and then work your way forward. Alternatively, you can start at the right hand side and work your way around the park counter-clockwise direction. The most practical tip of all I have already mentioned - take a late lunch and ride the most popular attractions when everyone else is eating.

At the parks, you can rent strollers and wheelchairs if necessary. You would need comfortable walking shoes, umbrella or rain poncho, sunscreen and hat as well as a tote bag for your stuff and souvenirs. Alternatively, you can rent a locker to lighten your load. Note that in some parks umbrellas are not permitted.Always have some extra money on you for souvenirs, food and drinks for you and your family. Indulging in the theme parks works up quite a thirst and an appetite!

Camera, batteries and plenty of film/memory cards are tings you’d better bring yourself, since they charge dearly for these essentials at the parks. If water rides are in your schedule make sure you have brought some extra change clothes.

Good thing is to take advantage of Disney’s free FASTPASS and/or Universal Orlando’s EXPRESS PLUS program (although additional charge applies for the latter). While the details of the individual program may vary please note that each system allows you to bypass the lines and make the most of your day at the parks. At SeaWorld Orlando’s Adventure Express Tour you have a front-of-the-line access on rides and reserved seating at two of its most popular shows(subject to additional charge).

Shopping at the theme parks have highly practical shipping services or free delivery to on-property resorts or park main entrances.
